IMF Chief praises Sri Lanka

The International Monitory Fund has praised the steps taken by the Government to create fiscal discipline and economic advancement.

IMF Chief Christine Largarde pointed out that the Sri Lankan government has exhibited a great deal of commitment in this regard.

She had made this comments during a meeting with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe on the sidelines of the world economic forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The Prime Minister had said that Sri Lanka had to face unexpected circumstances when rejuvenating the country’s economy.
