Russian quarantine team to arrive next month

A team of four plant quarantine officers from Russia are scheduled to arrive in the island next month to carry out investigations in connection to the detection of an insect in a tea container exported from Sri Lanka to Russia.

The Minister of Plantation Industries Navin Dissanayake said that the Russian team will carry out further investigations after discussions with officials of the local plant quarantine institute.
