November tea production declines by 6.1 %

Sri Lanka's November tea production recorded a decline of 6.1 % to 29.8 million Killo Grams compared to 31.8 Million kilo grams produced during the same month previous year.


High Grown quantity of 7.1 Million kilo grams has posted the sharpest decline of almost 15 % on the corresponding figure of 8.39 Million kilo grams followed by Medium Growns at 5.28 Million kilo grams and Low Growns at 17.4 Million kilo grams when compared with 5.6 Million kilo grams and 17.8 Million kilo grams of the same month last year.


Sri Lanka Tea Board statistics revealed that The percentage decreases amounts to 5.9 % and 2.0 % respectively.
