Lanka posts Rs 46,653 mn income from coconut exports

Sri Lanka's total income from the export of coconuts during the year 2012, has posted a figure of around 46 thousand 653 million rupees, according to a Sri Lanka Coconut Development Authority source.


The total income from coconut exports from September to December 2012 alone, had recorded a figure of 14,627 million rupees and income from exports of coconuts for September, October, November and December were 4,205 Million, 3,396 Million, 3396 Million and 3,630 Million rupees respectively.


Accordingly, the income incurred from the export of coconuts for the month of December, had marginally gone up, compared to the total coconut exports income recorded in November 2012.
