Purchasing of paddy at new certified prices to commence tomorrow

The purchasing of paddy at an increased price according to this years budget will commence for the Maha season from Ampara tomorrow.


The Ministry of Corporatives and Internal Trade stated that the purchase of paddy will be carried out through the Paddy Marketing Board.


The recent budget stipulated that a Kilo of Nadu paddy should be purchased for 32 Rupees and a Kilo of Samba for 35 Rupees.
