Lankan exports to B'desh rise NCCSL plans trade discussion

Sri Lanka's exports to its South Asian peer Bangladesh had risen around 150 percent during the period between 2006 and 2011.


The National Chamber or Commence Sri Lanka also plans to organize a discussion on bilateral trade between the two countries.


Similarly, the value of imports from Bangladesh has also increased by 100 percent in 2011 compared to 2010.


In 2011, Sri Lanka-Bangladesh bilateral trade increased to 22 million dollars representing an 83 percent increase from 2007 trade levels.
