South Korea to invest more in Sri Lanka

South Korea is interested in exploring potential investment opportunities in Sri Lanka and it has plans to double the number of Korean tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka in another three years times.

Ambassador of the Republic of Korea expressed these views addressing a seminar on Sri Lanka –Korea bilateral trade, organized by National Chamber of Commerce.

South Korea is the largest investor in Sri Lanka in the 90s and currently Korean FDI’s to Sri Lanka under BOI is at 170 million dollars.

At present, there are around 116 Korean projects and companies in operation in Sri Lanka under the purview of the BOI.
