The Colombo Wholesale Traders Association requests the price of a Kilogram of wheat flour to be reduced by 20 Rupees as world prices have decreased.

Speaking at a media briefing that was held today in Colombo Chairman of the Association K Palaniyandi stated that the price of a metric tonne of wheat flour which was 450 to 500 Dollars has now decreased to 350 Dollars.

He also stated that since several varieties of paddy are being cultivated in the country people should try to move away from wheat flour.
