Japan becomes Sri Lanka s third largest foreign financier

Japan is Sri Lankas third largest foreign financier-and Lankas bilateral trade with Japan is also on a promising trend.


Rishad Bathiudeen, Minister of Industry and Commerce sais In 2012, Japan was Sri Lankas third largest foreign financier after China and India.


Lanka - Japan trade too has been growing -an increase of 56% from 2002.


Minister Bathiudeen was addressing the high powered Japanese biz and investment delegation - one of the biggest such officials’ Japanese teams to arrive in Sri Lanka.
