ROD STEWART and his wife PENNY LANCASTER have reportedly spent more than 4.4 million pounds on a Grade II listed stately home just outside London.

Insiders claim the Stewarts are the new lord and lady of Durrington House, on the edge of Epping Forest.

The sprawling country retreat comes with a billiard room, 10 bedrooms, five bathrooms, while the grounds feature four cottages, a carriage house with an 18th-century clock tower, a rose garden, an orchard, tennis court and even a croquet lawn.
