ICC approves Upul Tharanga

ICC approved Upul Tharanga as replacement for injured Jeewan Mendis in the Sri Lanka World Cup squad today morning, Sri Lanka Cricket source (SLC) stated.

Sri Lankan all-rounder Jeevn Mendis has sustained an injury during practices and was waiting assessment by ICC officials yesterday while Upul Tharanga is scheduled to leave for Melbourne in case he is needed, Sri Lanka Cricket source stated.

The Minister of Sports & Tourism Navin Dissanayake has already approved the aforementioned decision, reportedly.
