Australia beat Sri Lanka by 5 wickets in the fifth one-day international in Pallekele, as the visitors took the series 4-1 yesterday.

It was Skipper David Warner's 106, off 126 balls with the help of 9 boundaries that thwarted the Lankan attack from posing any threats to the visiting batting.

Australia, rode on a record 132-run partnership between Warner and George Bailey who scored 44, to chase down 196 in 43 overs on a sluggish pitch.

Earlier Sri Lanka, who elected to bat first, was bowled out for just 195 in 40.2 overs.
