The inaugural match of the Lanka Premier League 20 overs cricket tournament was played between Colombo Kings and Kandy Tuskers yesterday.

Both teams scored 466 runs in the match, including 46 fours and 22 sixes.

There were some sports fans that complained stating that the distance of the boundaries of the stadium were closer than usual.

When inquired by HIRU SPORTS in this regard, the Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket Shammi Silva stated that the distance of the boundaries of the stadium are beyond the standard distance.

He further told us that yesterday it was 75 meters.

Meanwhile, another match of the LPL tournament will be played today between Jaffna Stallions led by Thisara Perera and Glee Gladiators led by Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

The match will start at 7.30 pm local time tonight.
