Sri Lanka's Australian tour hit an incredible new low today with promising fast bowler Shaminda Eranga suffering a leg injury during training on the eve of the third Test in Sydney.

The right-arm quick, who has taken five wickets at an average of 50 in the opening two Tests, limped his way to the dressing rooms where he was due to receive further attention.

Wicketkeeper Prasanna Jayawardene appears certain to miss the match while paceman Nuwan Kulasekara is also in extreme doubt.

Mahela Jayawardene admitted the disruptions had taken an enormous toll on his team already this summer, but urged them to rise above it.
