Sri Lanka pile on runs against Bangladesh

Sri Lanka ended the morning session of the 2nd day of the 1st test match against Bangladesh in a commanding position scoring 461 runs for 4 wickets.


Lahiru Thirimanna scored his maiden test century going into lunch unbeaten on 113 while Dinesh Chandimal remained not out on 55 and the two combined for a stand of 94 unbeaten runs for the 5th wicket.


Sri Lanka lost skipper Angelo Mathews early for a score of 27.


Sohag Gazi remained the pick of the hapless Bangladeshi bowlers picking up 3 wickets for 128 runs in 43 overs while Abdul Hasan picked up the wicket of the Sri Lankan skipper.
