Australia's Test opening batsman David Warner has been asked to explain why abusive messages to journalists have been posted on his Twitter account.


Cricket Australia is examining the posts, some containing obscene language, which were written after News Limited's Robert Craddock criticised the Indian Premier League.


Warner, is likely to appear in the Ashes after his Delhi Daredevils stint.
