The case against Port City Project postponed

The case filed by Centre for Environmental Justice against requesting to stop the Port City Project was taken into hearing at the Court of Appeal today.

The lawyers appearing on behalf of the Attorney General has requested to postpone the case until the 15th of June, to produce facts.

Previously, the Attorney General was ordered to inform the government’s stance to the Court of Appeal.

However, the lawyers have stated that the Attorney General has received the relevant order just 2 days ago.

Therefore, upon their request to postpone the hearing to produce facts, the Court of Appeal has postponed the hearing until the 15th of June.
