Sri Lanka blind cricket team was able to set a world record yesterday when they beat New Zealand blind cricket team winning the match by 214 runs in the T 20 – 20 Blind Cricket World Cup tournament currently held in India.

Sri Lanka team who batted first made an unbeaten score of 334.

Ruwan Wasantha scored 177 runs and suranga Sampath recorded an unbeaten score of 146.

This became the new world record as the highest partnership score on any wicket in the T 20 – 20 Blind Cricket Game.

The 334 runs scored by Sri Lankan team became the third highest score on an innings in the T 20 – 20 match history.

The second match between Sri Lankan and South Africa will be played today in Durban.
