Wife and Daughter of Zaharan Hashim, the founder of National Thowheeth Jamath have been taken to the CID for questioning.
According to court orders, blood samples of Zaharan Hashim’s daughter are to be obtained in order to carry out a DNA test.
The Government Analysts Department said that a DNA report can be presented to courts 2 days after receiving the blood sample.
Meanwhile, the identities of the attackers of Kochchikade and Katuwapitiya, namely Alawdeen Ahmad Muwath and Achchi Mohammadu Mohammadu Hasthun have been confirmed through DNA Tests.
Deputy Government Analyst D H I W Jayamanna meanwhile said that the detailed report regarding the bombs used in the Easter Sunday attacks, will also be produced before courts during the next few weeks.
The Government Analysts Department has also carried out tests at Sainthamaradu and Dematagoda where explosions occurred as well as a house in Panadura, believed to have been used to manufacture bombs.
