UNP+Back+benches+to+meet+today+as+well

A meeting between the UNP backbenchers and the party Deputy Leader Minister Sajith Premadasa is scheduled at a private hotel in Colombo at 7 pm today.

The meeting will focus its attention on the forthcoming presidential election.

At the same time, the backbenchers expect to hold a meeting between Sajith Premadasa and Party Leader Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to come to an agreement with regard to a right decision.

Meanwhile, a letter signed by over 55 MPs and Ministers asking the party leader to convene the central working committee and the parliamentary group was handed over to the Prime Minister recently.

In addition, a group of UNP Pradeshiya Sabah members have been summoned to Temple Trees to educate them on the party’s action and the forthcoming presidential election.
