The ruling party in Singapore wins the general election

Singapore's ruling People's Action Party has won 83 of the country's 93 parliamentary seats with 61.2 percent of the vote in yesterday's general election.

Lee Hsien Loong, the son of Lee Kuan Yew, the founder of modern Singapore, will be re - elected Prime Minister.
