One hundred and fifty thousand freshwater fishlings have been released into Castlereagh Reservoir.

The fishlings belonging to the species Katla have been released into the reservoir with the intention of improving the nutritional status of the people in the plantation areas and increasing the opportunity to buy fresh water fish at a reasonable price.

The project also aims to increase the income of fishermen in Castlereagh Reservoir.
