Mickey Arthur, the head coach of the Sri Lankan cricket team says that the tour of England to Sri Lanka will take place as expected next January.

That tour was suspended last February with the covid-19 global pandemic. The boards have tentatively agreed to reschedule the two-Test tour that was postponed from March this year, to be rescheduled for January.

Sri Lanka has not participated in an international cricket tournament. The team has been out of action since February, with series against England, India, South Africa and Bangladesh all postponed.

However, Mickey Arthur said that the Sri Lankan team will be able to participate in the tour of South Africa in December.
