A hotline has been introduced to provide the public with all the information they need about the coronavirus.

Accordingly, the Director General of Health Services has informed the public to call the Health Promotion Bureau on the 1999 hotline.

The public can call this number for advice on how to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 virus, as well as advice on how to prevent the virus from infecting other people, including family members.

If you feel that you are infected with the corona virus with the relevant symptoms, the Director General of Health Services informs you to call this number immediately to know the immediate action to be taken and the necessary assistance.

The service is available in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages ​​and doctors and specialists are associated with this service to provide relevant advice.

The 1999 hotline, can be accessed from any telephone network 24 hours a day.
