Principal helps students to write the A/L paper - Investigation launched

The Examinations Department has commenced an investigation into alleged fraud in the Advanced Level Logics paper in a school in the Negombo area.

This is regarding allegations that the principal of the relevant school had assisted the students in writing the answer sheet by obtaining telephone assistance from an outsider during the GCE Advanced Level examination.

When inquired by the Hiru news team the Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath Pujith stated that an investigation has already been launched into the incident.

However, the General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union Joseph Starlin said that the investigation into the matter should be handed over to the CID.
