Argentina has become the sixth country in the world to have reported more than a million coronavirus infections.

In the past 24 hours, 12,982 new cases have been reported and 451 deaths have been reported.

The death toll from the virus has risen to 26,716.

Other countries with more than a million COVID-19 patients include the United States, India, Brazil, Russia and Spain.

With a population of 45 million, Argentina is the country with the lowest population that reported over one million infected with the coronavirus.
