WHO warns of a second COVID wave in Europe

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned regarding the second wave of COVID-19 spreading across the European region. The WHO stated that the effects of the second wave of the COVID-19 virus, which is currently spreading through the European region, are far worse than the first wave. 

In the past few weeks, the number of coronavirus patients reported from Italy has surpassed the number of COVID-19 cases reported during the first wave. 

The cases spike is observed in the backdrop of strict travel restrictions that were imposed. The highest number of daily cases were also reported yesterday (23), with 16,079 cases being reported. 

According to foreign media, the highest number of cases were reported from Lombard and Pitmon.

Ireland, with a population of nearly 5 million, has been ordered to be closed down for a second time due to the effects of the virus under the new legal system. 

It is reported that a serious crisis has arisen in Germany due to the spread of the virus. 

The United States continues to be the worst affected country from the virus.
