The number of coronavirus patients reported worldwide currently stands at 43,323,390, with the  death toll at 1,158,807.

Reportedly, the number of daily patients reported worldwide has also increased significantly.

More than 400,000 new cases were reported yesterday (25) and the number of deaths reported was close to 4,500.

The spread of coronavirus in Europe, which is facing the second COVID-19 wave, is accelerating, with the number of infected in France exceeding 50,000 yesterday.

There were 52,010 new infections reported from France yesterday (25), compared to 45,422 the previous day.

The total number of infected people in France at present is recorded at 1,138,507.

France was recorded as the fifth most affected country by the pandemic, after the United States, India, Brazil and Russia surpassing Argentina and Spain.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, yesterday (25) decided to impose a state of emergency in Spain, where the spread of the coronavirus is on the rise. Steps have also been taken to impose a night curfew.

With the state of emergency, travel between Spain's districts and territories will be restricted, and only medical and essential services will be allowed.

The number of coronavirus infections in Spain has now surpassed one million and is reported at 1,110,372, with a death toll of nearly 35,000.
