Former Sudanese Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi has died from a coronavirus infection.
He died while being treated at a hospital in the United Arab Emirates for about three weeks due to the virus.
Twenty-one family members and relatives of the former Prime Minister of Sudan have previously been diagnosed with coronavirus.
At the time of his death, Sadiq al-Mahdi was 84 years old and served as Sudanese Prime Minister from 1986 to 1989.
