During teh first wave 13 deaths were reported.
Among the deaths reported in the second wave, 40 (42.25%) of the victims were over 71 years.
There were 20 deaths between the ages of 61 and 70 and 16 deaths between the ages of 51 and 60.
Eleven deaths have been reported between the ages of 41 and 50.
There have also been four deaths between the ages of 31 and 40, with the lowest death rate (3.19%) between the ages of 10 and 30.
The total number of deaths in the country went pass the 100 mark with 8 new coronavirus related deaths reported yesterday.
Meanwhile with the 473 new infections reported yesterday, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 22,501.
Meanwhile, from the 473 cases reported yesterday, 138 have been identified from the Colombo district, with 63 from Gampaha District and 35 from the Ratnapura District .
At present the number of coronavirus clusters connected to the Peliyagoda fish market is 16,372.
Upul Rohana, President of the Public Health Inspectors' Association, points out that the coronavirus situation in the Peliyagoda and Colombo Municipal Council areas is developing into sub-clusters in the outlying areas of the country.
