Colombo High Court Judge Damith Thotawatte ordered today (30) to lift the travel ban imposed on former Minister Basil Rajapaksa and former Director-General of the Divineguma Development Department Kithsiri Ranawaka.

The case was filed against the duo for allegedly misappropriating Rs. 36.5 million of funds belonging to the Divi Neguma Department to purchase GI pipes during the 2015 Presidential Election.

Meanwhile, Colombo High Court Judge Dhammika Ganepola also ordered today (30) to lift the travel ban imposed on the defendants in connection with the case filed for allegedly misappropriating state funds allocated to the Divi Neguma Department to print and distribute 500,000 'litha' containing the image of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, during the 2015 Presidential Election.
