Further consideration of FR petitions seeking to annul gazette notification mandating the cremation of COVID bodies, postponed

The Supreme Court has postponed the further consideration of the fundamental rights petitions seeking the annulment of the gazette notification issued mandating that the bodies of the patients who die due to COVID-19 must be cremated, until tomorrow (01).

The petitions were taken up today (30) before a three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya, Murdu Fernando and Preethi Padman today.
