Wild Jumbo treated for gunshot wounds

The Hiru correspondent state that the wildlife officers including the doctors of the Giritale Veterinary Unit commenced treatment today (17) for a wild elephant that had fallen from a field in the Sudukanda area in Giritale due to gunshot wounds.

The 10-year-old elephant was shot in the head and doctors say the animal was bleeding internally.
