A motorcycle has collided on a tipper truck parked in the Nugaduwa area on the Southern Expressway entrance last night (24).

It is reported that the motorcyclist who was injured in the accident has been admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital.

The victim was a police sergeant attached to the Port Police who was quarantining himself at home.

It is reported that the sergeant was a close associate of an officer who was infected with coronavirus and was directed to self-quarantine at home.

The Ports Police are conducting further investigations into the accident that occurred when the sergeant was to be in the house under self-quarantine.
