Oxygen measurement programme to be launched in Colombo

With the increase in the air pollution of Colombo, The Ministry of Environment and the Colombo Municipal Council have jointly decided to launch a daily oxygen measurement programme in the city.

Meanwhile, a joint program was launched to prevent air pollution in the city of Colombo and increase the oxygen content.

Accordingly, it was decided to implement a tree-planting program suitable for the city of Colombo.

It was decided to launch a tree-planting program wherever possible, combining the 'Save a Tree for Colombo' program launched by the Colombo Municipal Council and the 'Husma Dena Thuru' tree planting program implemented by the Ministry of Environment.
