The Director-General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena stated at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday that the COVID vaccine will be given to the people of the Kalutara District soon.
With the reporting of 356 new infections yesterday, the total number of infected people in the country has risen to 84,226.
Of the new cases, 335 were from the Peliyagoda COVID cluster and 21 from abroad were also identified as infected.
