Holy Masses have begun in Churches and our reporters have observed that Catholics in the country have gathered at Churches today to attend the Mass wearing black, demanding justice for the victims of the Easter Attacks. Church bells will toll at 8.45 am

The Archdiocese of Colombo has declared Black Sunday today stating that justice has not yet been done to the victims of the Easter attack.

Accordingly, the Archbishop of Colombo was instructed to attend the services dressed in black and requested that Black Sunday not be politicized.

Meanwhile, the group of lawyers on behalf of Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith states that no evidence was presented to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the alleged payment of salaries by Zahran Hashim, the mastermind of the terrorist attack on Easter Sunday of 2019.

Member lawyer Duthika Perera stated this in an exclusive interview with the Hiru News team.

Former President Maithripala Sirisena said yesterday that although US intelligence had received information about the September 11 attacks, it could not be prevented.
