Israel - Sri Lanka : direct air service operations resumed

Israel and Sri Lanka have agreed to resume operations regarding direct air services between the two countries which were suspended due to the COVID19 pandemic.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, between 2,000 and 5,000 Israeli tourists are expected to visit Sri Lanka between May and September this year.

The Ministry of Tourism also stated that discussions are underway with airlines in Russia, Dubai, India, and Kuwait to launch direct flights to Sri Lanka.
