3,000 narcotic pills at Colombo Fort pharmacy

Nearly 3,000 narcotic pills were seized during a raid conducted by the Police Special Task Force at a pharmacy located in front of the Colombo Fort Railway Station.

The raid was carried out by the Gonahena Police Special Task Force (STF) on a tip off given by a suspect arrested in the Ruppagoda area in Kadawatha with 140 narcotic pills.

It was revealed that the drugs at the pharmacy had been distributed illegally to various parts of the country.

The owner of the pharmacy and the suspect arrested in the Ruppagoda area have been handed over to the Kadawatha Police for further investigations.
