COVID surge - India : Maharashtra in lockdown

A total of 84,372 cases of COVID19 have been reported in India in the last 24 hours.

It is the highest daily number of infections reported in the country to date.

Accordingly, the total number of infected persons in India has increased to 138 million.

Yesterday (13) marked the highest number of daily deaths in the country within the past six months.

That number is 1,027.

In Maharashtra alone, more than 60,000 cases were reported yesterday.

Accordingly, the Chief Minister took steps to close the state for 15 days.
