A/L 2020 - Royal secure Bio Science Island 1st and 2nd places

The results of the 2020 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination were released online today (May 04), where 194,297 candidates who sat for the exam qualified to seek university entrance.

A total of 301,771 candidates faced the exam held last year from October 12 to November 06, postponed from August due to covid 19.

The details of the online application procedure for the re-correction of answer papers will be notified by the Examinations Department.

Best Results of the 2020 G.C.E Advanced Level examination are as follows

Susika Sandasara, Horana Thakshila Maha Vidyalaya

Maths stream
Danaraj Sundarbavan, Chavakachcheri Hindu College

Arts Stream
Chamalka Sewmini, Presbyterian Girls School Dehiwala

Commerce Stream
Amandi Imasha Madanayaka, Sangamitta Vidyalaya, Galle

While the Island first place was taken by Praveen Wijesinghe, a student of Royal College residing in the Malabe area in Thalahena.

Second place went to Vihan Wijayaratne, also a student of Royal College, Colombo and a resident of Himbutana.

The two students arrived at the Royal College, Colombo this morning and met the Principal Samantha Goonetileke.

They mentioned that this was a rare occasion when both Island number 1 & 2 was secured by Royal College.
