Travel restrictions relaxed - night time and provincial restrictions remain

The travel restrictions that were imposed islandwide for three days were lifted at 4.00am this morning.

However, despite the removal of the restrictions, the night travel restrictions will be in effect from 11.00 pm to 4.00 am every day until May 31.

Meanwhile, travel between the provinces will continue to be restricted.

The opportunity to leave home for non essential matters will be based on the final number of the National Identity Card, said Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.
