Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagle stated that the two sides could focus on further enhancing economic and trade cooperation between Sri Lanka and India.

He was speaking at the Sri Lanka Investment Forum.

He stated that cooperation in ports, shipping, energy, information technology, tourism, industry, transport, real estate, health, education as well as agriculture could be further enhanced.

Furthermore, he stated that sustainable and predictable policies are very important for the promotion of economic interaction.
