Former Police Media Spokesperson Senior DIG Ajith Rohan who was treated for a COVID infection at a private hospital in Colombo has fully recovered.

Senior DIG Rohana was admitted to a private hospital in Colombo following a COVID-19 infection.

When contacted by Hiru News, Senior DIG Ajith Rohana stated that he was in good health.

The Senior DIG also thanked all those who wished him a speedy recovery from the moment he was hospitalized with the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the Police Media Division stated that the photo that is being circulated on social media claiming to be of Senior DIG Ajith Rohana being in a critical condition and receiving treatment in a private hospital was fake.

Speaking regarding the fake images circulated, Senior DIG stated that he was sympathetic to the people who had used fake photos to advertise that he was being treated in the intensive care unit of the hospital in a critical condition..

He further added that it was essential to seek treatment at the first sign of illness.

He said that he was returning home in good health today due to the good health practices and that the virus infection should not eb underestimated.

Senior DIG Rohana stated that he will return to work following two weeks of rest after his discharge.
