The teachers' unions today responded to the statement made by the Public Security Minister Sarath Weerasekara yesterday that the teachers who are on strike regarding the salary issue are participating in it under the influence of some.

They alleged that Minister Sarath Weerasekera was interfering unnecessarily, despite the Cabinet subcommittee responding positively to their demands.
