A 'COVID-19 Memorial' has been created to commemorate the COVID deaths that have taken place in Sri Lanka so far.

The monument is unique in that it is designed in an online space.

A total of 13,059 COVID deaths have been reported in the country as of today (04) and the details of 761 such deaths have already been recorded in this monument, say its creators.

Sharing a note in this regard, the creators stated, "Through this memorial, we hope to remember them as more than numbers; they are civilians and healthcare workers; spouses, siblings, parents, children, friends and loved ones. Each individual has their own story, and leaves behind a unique legacy."

The online COVID-19 Memorial can be accessed here.
