Pfizer vaccine to be administered to A/L students

Pfizer vaccine will be given to students sitting for the GCE Advanced Level examination in all regions of the Colombo District next Friday (15).

The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education have prepared a program to administer the first dose of Pfizer vaccine to students between the ages of 18 and 19 in schools on 21 October.

The program is scheduled to commence on Friday, 15 October in the Colombo District as its pilot project.

Addressing a media briefing today, the Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Education L.M.D. Dharmasena stated that all students should participate in the vaccination program with their National Identity Cards (NIC).
