The arrested son of the businessman from Bambalapitiya who purchased the controversial stock of garlic from Sathosa, has been remanded until October 26.

CID arrested the son of a businessman from Bambalapitiya who purchased the controversial stock of garlic from Sathosa earlier today.

He is a 25 year old resident of Bambalapitiya.
 
It has been reported that he was arrested on charges of fraud for over Rs. 11,719,520/-, preparation of forged documents, aiding and abetting fraudulent activities and for the possession of stolen goods. 

The suspect was produced before the Welisara Magistrate's Court today (23).

He was remanded until the 26.
