Uniforms not mandatory for Primary Section students starting school tomorrow (25) - Ministry of Education

It is not mandatory for Primary Section students starting school tomorrow (25) to wear the school uniform.

Students are permitted to attend school in any suitable attire

Secretary to the Ministry of Education Prof. Kapila Perera stated that it is not mandatory to come in uniform to school with the commencement of primary sections in all schools in the island tomorrow.

He said that as schools had not been held for more than a year, many children are now unable to wear their existing uniforms.

Therefore, the Secretary of Education said that it is advisable to come to school dressed in the most appropriate attire.
