The Sri Lanka Under-19 team clean-swept Bangladesh Under-19 team in the ODI tournament.

Sri Lanka young lions acquired a 5-0 victory, winning by 1 run in the fifth and final ODI between the two countries.

Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 240 for 9 wickets.

Chamindu Wickramasinghe and Shevon Daniel put a partnership of 154 runs for the second wicket to put Sri Lanka in a strong position.

The partnership broke down when Shevon Daniel was taken by a run out for 59 runs.

Sri Lanka's innings were limited to 240 runs due to a lack of support from the back row batsmen.

Chasing a victory target of 241, Bangladesh showed signs of an easy victory by the end of the 45th over.

However, the young lions did not give up the fight.

In the last two overs of the match, Sri Lanka took 3 wickets, shattering the hopes of the Bangladesh team.

They needed five runs in the final ball of the match to win, but were able to score only one run.

Vinuja Rampal and Dunith Vellalage took 2 wickets each for Sri Lanka.
